Child Rescued from Tenerife Hotel Pool Currently in Moderate Condition

SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 28 Aug. (EUROPA PRESS) –

A 12-year-old boy is currently in stable condition following his rescue from the swimming pool of a hotel situated in the municipality of Arona, where he exhibited signs of drowning.

The incident occurred at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday when the Canary Islands Government’s Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES) 112 received a call notifying them that a minor was displaying symptoms of drowning after being retrieved from the hotel’s pool on Calle California and required urgent medical intervention.

Medical staff from SUC who arrived at the location assessed and tended to the child, who was subsequently transported in a basic life support ambulance to La Candelaria Hospital in moderate condition, while the Local Police compiled the necessary reports.
