Cruise Plus welcomed 40 agents and 18 suppliers to their head office in Leyland for two educational days and a fun-filled evening event.

The two-day event aimed to give participants an extensive orientation on different aspects of the cruise travel sector. The first day centred on ocean cruising, while the second involved informative presentations from luxury, river, and expedition cruise suppliers

Participants included representatives from Celebrity Cruises, Cunard, Disney Cruise Line, MSC Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line, Princess, Royal Caribbean, Virgin Voyages, Silversea, Azamara Cruises, Ponant, Celestyal, Scenic, Emerald Cruises, AE Expeditions, Star Clippers, Hurtigruten Expeditions, and Quark Expeditions, a new partner for Cruise Plus.

An important first

According to marketing director Sarah Lancashire: “This is the first time we have hosted a Cruise Plus event in this way and the feedback from both our agents who attended and our suppliers has been exceptional. Having the event over two days allowed us to expand on the partners we invited, meaning agents got to network and build relationships with more suppliers than ever before.”

For this part, head of specialist product Mark Henderson added: “Ocean cruising differs greatly from luxury, river and expedition cruising. So, for agents who may be new to cruising or simply wanted to grow their knowledge, this event provided every opportunity to support them. We are so grateful to the suppliers who joined us in providing this experience and opportunity for our agents.”
