Etihad Airways is celebrating its 20th anniversary with an early peek of the new-look Boeing 787 Dreamliner at the Dubai Airshow 2023.
This week’s Dubai Airshow features Etihad’s new-look Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
The new Etihad Airways aircraft has greater leg room in Economy, full-recline Business class beds, and enhanced entertainment options.
Following the arrival of a new 787-10 in October, the UAE’s national airline showcases its latest Boeing 787-9, one of four new Dreamliners to join the fleet.
Etihad’s new 787 Dreamliner cabin interior highlights improvements to the airline’s award-winning cabins.
The aeroplane has the newest cabin interior from Etihad, with 32 seats in Business class and 271 seats in Economy.
The Business cabin has a one-of-a-kind, modified version of Collins’ Elements seat.
Etihad is the world’s first airline to use the Elements seat on the Boeing 787.
The new seats will provide guests ample space and comfort, added privacy provided by a suite door and increased suite height.
Each of the 32 Business seats has direct aisle access and reclines to a 78-inch-long, completely lie-flat bed with a 17.3-inch 4K TV screen, Bluetooth headphone pairing, wireless charging, several charging outlets, and lots of storage.
The new 787 offers lighter, therefore more fuel-efficient, seats than the present fleet, with 244 regular seats and 27 Economy Space seats with four inches greater legroom.
The new 787 Dreamliner has Safran’s latest in-flight entertainment technology equipment, including Rave Ultra 13.3″ 4K touch-screen displays and the ability to link personal phones and tablets to the screen as a remote.
The aircraft is fitted with a new connectivity solution from Viasat that uses Ka-band technology to provide high-speed Wi-Fi with streaming capabilities on board and Live TV with news and sports channels.
All Etihad Guest members may enjoy complimentary conversation packages via Wi-Fly, while all guests can purchase a full Surf plan with unlimited data for the length of the flight.
The new aircraft will fuel Etihad’s expansion aspirations, as the airline has added 12 new destinations this year, with more flights to India, Boston, and Nairobi set to launch in the coming months.
The airline has also recently increased its operations in several regions, adding flight frequencies and improving network connections.
