Bavaria and the Passion Play

In 1634, the residents of Oberammergau vowed to perform a Christian Passion Play every ten years if God spared them from the plague. They kept their word – and you can now see this incredible open-air spectacle for yourself. On this tour, we make our way there via some wonderful Bavarian highlights. You can grab the perfect picture at the Disneyesque Neuschwanstein Castle, stroll around the beer halls and museums of Munich and climb up the Zugspitze, Germany’s highest peak, via cogwheel train.
