Today,
awareness
of
tourism’s
impacts
is
at
an
all-time
high.
According
to
Booking.com’s 2023
Sustainable
Travel
Report,
74%
of
travelers
want
tourism
companies
to
offer
more
sustainable
choices.
As
travelers
seek
out
more
mindful
experiences,
tourism
companies
and
destinations
must
shift
away
from
traditional,
extractive
forms
of
tourism
in
order
to
remain
competitive.

“Sustainability
is
a
broad,
complex
topic
and
many
people
don’t
know
where
to
start.
This
series
aims
to
raise
awareness
of
what
sustainability
means
in
practice,
and
make
it
more
tangible
to
the
tourism
industry
and
travelers,”
said
Paloma
Zapata,
CEO
of
Sustainable
Travel
International.
“We
are
excited
to
build
upon
the
success
of
the
inaugural
season
to
showcase
more
examples
and
inspire
a
wider
audience
of
viewers
around
the
world.”
